Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your ForeverTree account and the archive content associated with it.
Delete your account in ForeverTree
If you can access your account, the fastest way to delete it is directly from the ForeverTree app.
- Open ForeverTree and sign in.
- Open My Profile.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the deletion information and confirm.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Deleting your ForeverTree account removes your account and personal archive, including:
- Your ForeverTree profile and account.
- Your Memories and Writings.
- Photos, audio, transcripts, and other archive content associated with Memories and Writings you own.
- Memories and Writings you own that you previously shared with other people.
Branches you contributed to someone else's Memory
A Branch you added to another person's Memory may remain with that Memory after your account is deleted. Associated Branch photos or audio may also remain so the Memory owner does not lose contributed story content.
Your contributor name may remain with that Branch for story context, but the attribution is disconnected from your deleted ForeverTree account.
Can't access the app?
If you cannot access ForeverTree, you can request account deletion by contacting support@forevertree.org. Please contact us from the email address associated with your ForeverTree account so we can verify the request.
